As a candidate for the Board of Education, my platform is all about transparency and communication.
We need to break down miscommunications in our district and build a level of honesty and trust. Open dialogue can lead to healthy conversations and deeper understanding of the issues.
While there are certain regulations to follow, it's my responsibility to ensure the community understands them, and manage expectations of what can be achieved.
By fostering open dialogue, we can make positive changes and move towards a better future. Together, we can tackle misconceptions and create a stronger, united community.
As a community, it's imperative that we ensure our administration is responsible for their actions and decisions. We acknowledge that breaking down structures that sustain racism and oppression is a multifaceted challenge. Despite some advancements towards creating a fair and inclusive environment, certain policies have not met their intended goals. Opening up about these shortcomings is essential to move forward and make progress.
It's our responsibility to establish a learning system that offers equal opportunities to every student, irrespective of their background. We must strive to disassemble the longstanding barriers that have led to unequal outcomes. Let's keep pushing forward with vehemence and determination towards building a system that serves everyone.
I prioritize fiscal responsibility, sustainability, safety, and innovation in my platform for creating a top-notch district.
Our decisions must be based on facts, and fiscal responsibility not nostalgia, to ensure sustainability for years to come.
By investing in modern technologies and facilities to attract and retain top educators, we can provide the best education experience for our students. Safety measures and modern safety equipment are also important investments in our students, staff, and educators.
Let's work together to make Shaker Heights a leading district, prioritizing our students' future success.
